Volvo Australia has today announced the availability of the Volvo V60 in 2011, the estate version of the S60 sedan hit showrooms last November.
The V60 comes in Australia with three models, including the D5 diesel and two gasoline engines and T5 AWD T6 AWD models. The petrol models are the sporty R-design of the forms.
Driving the V60 T5 is Volvo’s new 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine coupled GTDi, the company Powershift dual-clutch automatic gearbox to 177 kW and 320 Nm of torque production.
The flagship T6 shape, get the Volvo V60 224kW and 440nm upgraded 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbocharged engine coupled with a six-speed Geartronic automatic transmission and permanent four-wheel-drive system.
he R-Design T5 and T6 versions of the models sharper exterior styling and a number of improvements to the interior, along with the chassis a 15mm low ‘Sport’ for sportier handling.
Handling is improved thanks to 15 percent stiffer rear springs and a 20 percent stiffer bushes. There are also new monotube back.
Electronic Climate Control with cabin pollen filter, cruise control, power windows with one-touch auto up / down front and rear, electric folding (and heated) mirrors, electric driver’s seat with memory function for seat and mirrors, leather upholstery, central locking power steering, rain sensor wipers rear park assist, Bluetooth and 17-inch alloy wheels.
completion of standard high performance sound system combines a full color 5-inch screen, AM / FM radio, single-slot-MP3-compatible CD player and eight speakers and comes with audio controls on the steering wheel, and auxiliary and USB inputs.
Standard safety features on the Volvo V60 range include City Safety, Emergency Brake Light (EBL) system, anti-lock brakes (ABS), driver and front passenger front and side airbags and side airbags, inflatable curtains, Whiplash Protection System (WHIPS) Dynamic Stability and Traction Control (DSTC), Advanced Stability Control (ASC) and Roll Over Protection System (ROPS).
Optional safety features include Volvo third-generation Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), combines the Collision Warning with Auto Brake Full (CWAB), queue, pedestrian detection and removal notification. combined with Lane Departure Warning with Driver Alert is also an option.
