Car manufacturers test new areas all the time, and while some models are considered failures, as the BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo, and other models to be truly successful.
After Audi has announced it is developing a competing model Q6 X6, the British magazine Autocar is now reporting that Mercedes-Benz is a car intended to compete in the SAV, the Mercedes-Benz GLA.
One of these vehicles is the BMW X6, created in the lower segment SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle), which was met with skepticism by the press, but soon one of the best selling model BMW built 120,000 units, because the car was launched. And of course when this happens, the other car manufacturers with their own versions to try to get a piece of cake.
Scheduled to be launched around 2014 for life, the GLS based on the platform behind the recently launched Mercedes-Benz M-Class and also behind the new Jeep Grand Cherokee. Like BMW’s new feature of a GLS four-seat configuration (although the X6 is now in five places) and his style is strongly influenced by the recent introduction of the CLS.
Under the hood, it seems that Mercedes-Benz, the car with a diesel 3.0-liter V-6 gasoline and the various options to offer, including the 3.5-liter V-6 is a 4.6-liter V-8. And since the BMW X6 also has a “monster” version gets a GLS M AMG model will probably be on sale, powered by Mercedes ’5 0.5-liter turbocharged V-8. And in view of the advanced hybrid E300 features planned for this autumn at the IAA in Frankfurt will be a hybrid powertrain probably for the GLS.
