Mercedes-Benz F125! Concept
Mercedes-Benz is known for its wacky concept designs. Still, the Mercedes-Benz F125! concept is out there.
This large, hydrogen-powered technology sports sedan that Mercedes intends to implement in their cars by 2025.
To think that in the distant future, the luxury automaker also took the liberty to imagine a bold design. The Mercedes-Benz F125! smooth lines along the hood and grille to make it seem as if the body of the car was stamped from just a giant piece of aluminum. The integrated grid is a nice touch that I would not mind seeing in today’s Mercedes models.
The hydrogen system is a combination of a battery of energy-dense lithium-sulfur and a hydrogen tank that is fully integrated into the body structure. Overall, the plug-in will be able to operate solely on electric power for 31 miles, stored hydrogen provides the full range up to 621 miles. The four electric motors housed independently provide all-wheel-drive capabilities and acceleration values from zero to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds.
Mercedes-Benz F125! Interior
The Mercedes-Benz F125! cabin is accessed through gigantic gullwing doors. Inside, a computer system based humor will automatically discover and play music or display information when necessary.
Hydrogen propulsion seems to have lost the public’s interest in favor of the benefits more readily available battery electric technology. Perhaps Mercedes will have figured out in 14 years, but making it accessible can be a problem – even for buyers Mercedes’.
