Lexus LS 600h Landaulet is the car wedding is Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco and Monte Carlo Carlene Wittstock on 2 July. The car has a roof of a single clear polycarbonate full hybrid powertrain and unique comfort.
Lexus LS 600h Landaulet ended in a midnight blue livery elegant hand-applied with several layers of an action, water-based paint, adding to the car’s environmental credentials.
The most important feature is the transparent roof, which was true in the design challenge of a large room only, without amplification or columns, and manufacturing. Lexus collaborated with a French company that specializes in providing similar components for the aerospace industry, which shields the helicopters and fighter cover for this part.
The car is built by the Belgian coach builder Duchatelet Carat in close cooperation with the Lexus engineers in Brussels. The project took more than 2000 hours to complete, with a focus on maintaining high levels of quality and technical finesse that is essential for all Lexus and the preservation of attribute performance, safety and dynamics of the original LS 600h L.
The roof is a single shell, lightweight polycarbonate which is 8 mm thick and weighs only 26 kg. Lexus attached to the body through two intermediate components, which makes a perfect view inside and outside the car.
The final step in the conversion, re-assembly and finishing took a team of 10 specialists who work with the Lexus engineers over two weeks to complete, to ensure the highest quality is achieved.
On the day of the wedding in the LS 600h Landaulet will be used by the royal couple to visit the principality after the ceremony. For most of this distance, the car will run in electric mode with zero emissions. This is very important, but do not want to know how much emissions made during the preparation of this vehicle.
After the celebration of the vehicle will be presented at the Press Center and later, the Oceanographic Museum in Monaco.
