The Jaguar C-X75 is now more than a concept – it is a very early prototype of sorts. You may remember the bizarre super coupe from the 2010 Paris Auto Show where it was sporting twin four micro turbines that powered electric motors.
At the press conference today in London, Jaguar officials constructed a road ready driveline, consisting of two electric motors – one at the front, one rear – and a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine developed in collaboration with the Williams Formula One team.
Jaguar officials not to throw away all the power numbers, but a 0-60 mph time of less than three seconds promise. And if you do not hurry, it will only run on electric power for up to 30 miles and 300 miles with the help of the gas engine. Yes, this will be one volt times ten.
This also applies to price. Jaguar said it only plans to build 250 road versions of the X75-C and will run on a cool $ 1.15 each. Production is planned for late 2013.
