We have two new babies and a new lease with a 5-year-old, so it seems logical to be our long-term test fleet, adding a little weight was given. In the spirit of the baby, visit us in the 2011 Honda Odyssey Touring welcome to our growing family. This rather large movement took place on February 1 with a weight of 4541 pounds and measuring 202.9 inches.
There are five trim levels, Honda Odyssey Touring with our model ranks second only to the elite touring. Recorded with our Topaz Metallic minivans are 18-inch alloy wheels, dual power sliding doors, power liftgate, sunroof, fog lights, front and rear parking sensors, leather upholstery, memory settings for the driver, retractable third-row sunshades – deep breath – a fold-down armrest the third row and both the navigation and rear seat entertainment systems. The decision of the flagship touring elite would Xenon headlights, a blind-spot warning system, an updated rear-seat entertainment system with a 16-inch widescreen HD video monitor (with HDMI input) and a 650-watt Premium added 12 speaker surround sound system.
Like all of our 2011 Odyssey is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 makes 248 horsepower and 250 pounds-feet of torque. Touring and Touring models get an elite six-speed automatic, while the bottom bars do with a five-speed. The EPA estimates fuel economy at 19 mpg city/28 highway driving and 22 mpg combined.
The 2011 Honda Odyssey Touring is $ 41,535 higher in price without significant ways to kick that number. This is our newest addition to the second most expensive minivan on the market – $ 2,495 less than the Odyssey Touring elite. Fortunately, Honda has the car to us for 12 months, so to finance the children of Edmund still a college.
Why We Got It
The entire minivan segment has benefited significant corrections or complete redesign for the 2011 model year, and the new Honda Odyssey from a spacious interior have reduced consumption and a longer list of features to see.
In our recent minivan comparison test, the Odyssey (in the mid-EX trim) for the second linked to the new Nissan Quest. The Toyota Sienna SE 1 Space is already in our long-term fleet. Before the 2008 Sienna, the Dodge Grand Caravan minivan in the past, our destiny. While the new DGC is a huge improvement, it still finished last in the comparative test.
This last long-term additional almost $ 10,000 more than the Odyssey EX compared to many other bells and whistles should be assessed. Are these extra features worth it? They work as advertised? These are questions that we hope to answer next year.
In our reviews we have a list of the Odyssey agile handling, consumption, quiet cabin, configurable second row and third row easily folds under his strengths. At the other end of the spectrum, we take the high sticker price and button-heavy line under its drawbacks. We’ll see how this position during the next 12 months and 20,000 miles.
